Still killing time...

Well, another LID anniversary has come and gone. Yesterday was the 8 month mark of our dossier being logged in with CCAA in China. There are so many rumors about why the wait has increased so much, it is really hard to put your thumb on any one reason. The important thing to remember is that man’s timing is not God’s timing.

There was good news and bad news yesterday (Monday, February 27th) regarding the most recent referrals. The good news is that another batch was just received – the bad news is that they only included up to May 25th,, 2005. This was a BIG disappointment for those families whose LID was the last week of May, 2005. That also makes it more difficult to believe that our referral will be in the next batch of referrals. The way CCAA has been splitting up the months tends to make me believe that we are still two referrals away from seeing our sweet Ruby’s picture and reading about her.

Jada has been growing like a weed and she never ceases to amaze me in her social sense and her never-ending thought processes. You can almost see the gears churning away in that beautiful little head of hers. She loves talking about Ruby and what we, as a family, are going to do when she finally gets to come home. She also mentions quite frequently how she is going to share this with Ruby or how she is going to help Ruby do that. I truly believe Jada is going to be a wonderful big sister.

We recently had a rare snowfall here in TN that was deep enough to actually participate in some low-level tubing activities. Sheila’s nephews were visiting and I took this picture just before we set out for that “big hill”. James, Jared, and Ben love her SO much and she thinks they are the "stuff". They all had a great time and Jada thoroughly enjoyed her very first time of “playing in the snow”. She loved picking up a handful and eating it. She looked so cute in her little pink snowsuit. You can see a larger picture of her in it on her web page
here.

Okay, until next time. Hopefully I will be able to report that Ruby’s referral is here and I can post our first picture of Jada’s mei-mei (little sister).

Richard
