It has been 6 months today since our dossier was sent to China. At the beginning of this process, we thought we would be getting Ruby's referral in December. Who knows why the process has slowed the way it has, but it now looks like it will be March or April before we get the call. The ONLY good thing about that is it will be warmer in Beijing than it was the first time we traveled.
One thing I can report is that we finally received Jada's Certificate of Citizenship after almost a year of waiting. The application approval reply stated that it was running about a year to complete, but I just couldn't believe it would take that long. It did - our tax dollars hard at work!
Since I can't yet add any pictures of our little Ruby since she is only in our hearts, I'll just show off another one of Jada. Jada is wearing a dress that my Grandmother made for my Mother when she was about two years old. That would make the dress about 75 years old at the time of the picture; ageless and beautiful at the same time. With Christmas just around the corner, we hope to provide Jada a most wonderful experience of family, friends, gifts, and above all - LOVE! Everyone who meets her is absolutely enamored by her charm, wit, and mere presence. Sheila and I are constantly in awe of her and we feel blessed beyond measure that God has allowed us to be her caregivers here on earth.
Okay, my time is up. I need to get back to work. Until next time...
Richard
